Who am I ?
My name is Carine Notton. I’m a Gestalt practitioner and a teacher — two professions rooted in presence, listening, and transmission.
For nearly twenty years, I’ve been supporting teenagers as an English teacher.
Through this work, I’ve learned patience, movement, words, and silences.
And I’ve witnessed how difficult it can be — at any age — to express oneself, to connect, to find one’s place.
It’s this deep interest in living connection, in human contact, that led me to Gestalt therapy. A practice that listens to the body as much as to words. That welcomes what arises here and now, within the relationship. A therapy of presence, of movement, of being-in-contact — with oneself, with the other.
My personal journey is shaped by cultural blending, stories of exile, transitions, and reinventions. I’ve also lived abroad. All of this informs my way of being in the world — of listening, of meeting.
In my practice, I welcome each person as they are — in what is being lived, explored, or transformed. I rely on the grounding of Gestalt therapy and a fine attention to what unfolds in the encounter.
I am a certified Gestalt practitioner, trained at the École Parisienne de Gestalt (EPG),
one of the leading training institutes in France, nationally and internationally accredited by the EAGT, EAP, and FF2P.
I am currently continuing my training there, convinced that the therapist’s posture must be nourished by a path that remains alive and evolving.
My commitment is also rooted in many years of personal therapy, both individual and group — a necessary foundation in my view, and an ethical requirement I have fully embraced. It is a demanding journey, sometimes challenging, but profoundly transformative.
By signing the code of ethics of the EAGT (European Association for Gestalt Therapy),
I have committed to an ethical, supervised, and continually evolving practice.
I work under regular supervision and in accordance with the EAGT’s code of ethics.
I offer individual sessions for adults and adolescents — in person or online, in French or in English.
